Tang Dynasty Wall Hanging

Tang Dynasty Wall Hanging

Tang Dynasty (618-907AD) was a glorious period in ancient China. For three hundred years, the absence of war enabled the culture to thrive in all aspects of human life. Women enjoyed the most freedom and equality with men in arts and sports during this period. Cast in resin, the painting of an all-female polo match is a remake of the cave painting recovered in the northwest region of China. The voluptuous female figure and their colorful costume reflect the aesthetic taste of the time. Here it is recreated by hand in cast resin as wall-hanging for contemporary art collectors.
