Tang Dynasty Wall Hanging

Ancient China reached the height of her civilization during the three hundred years of Tang Dynasty (618-907AD) Music was an important part of the culture as seen in this all-female orchestras depicted in the remake of a cave painting recovered in the northwest region of China. The exuberant color shown in the cast resin reflects the aesthetic taste of the time. Voluptuous and plump, the painting provides the evidence of the ideal female figure of Tang period. Here it is recreated by hand in cast resin as wall-hanging for contemporary art collectors.
