The tri-color firing technique of ceramic art was developed 1300 years ago during the Tang Dynasty (618-907 AD). Because of long journeys traveled on silk road, stallion was greatly appreciated by people hence became artists' favorite subject. The Tang Tri-Color Stallion style has survived changes of age and is still the most sought-after ceramic sculpture in China today.
